Practice Information |
My greatest passion in life is to witness the growth I see in my clients. I find it very rewarding to watch others transform into the person they aspire to be---increasingly successful, peaceful, happy, loving, confident, strong, resilient, effective and inspired. My approach ventures beyond conventional psychotherapy to provide lasting change the first time around. Old, unwanted reactions and tendencies quickly disappear as positive thoughts, behaviors, and feelings take their place. I use mind-body approaches to incorporate a whole-system approach.
I work at the deepest levels of the mind -- deeper than any other form of psychotherapy available, to integrate conflicting states of mind that are responsible for symptoms and maladaptive behaviors. Wounded parts of self are bathed in love, compassion and healing experiences in order to meet needs that were not adequately met in the past. As a result, your wounded parts of self get unstuck from the past and integrate into your most adult, Higher Self, allowing you to achieve wholeness and evolve into your healthiest and highest states of mind and being. This approach is equally effective for mild to severe issues. |

"This work has transformed me. Dr. Winocur is a gift to the field. I'm amazed that she's so intuitive...she was able to draw things out of me that no one else has. She never told me to do something or not to do something---she allowed me to feel really capable rather than becoming dependent on a therapist to tell me what to do. I feel like I'm ready for battle, like I can do it!" Peggy R, Los Angeles, CA
"With all other therapies, I felt like a failure because I wasn't able to change when they said, 'Just change the way you think about it.' I was doing a lot of window dressing when there were major fundamental cracks. The more referrals I received, and therapists I saw, and psychiatric drugs I took, the worse I became. I was contemplating electroconvulsive therapy, but the doctors didn't even see hope in that for me. Dr. Winocur was my last recourse. I wouldn't be here today if not for her. I really wish I'd known about the Developmental Needs-Meeting Strategy a long time ago...it would have saved me 20 years of my life." Margaret M., Sherman Oaks, CA
"Nadine, you have changed my life forever! I am stronger, smarter, and so much happier! I would be lost without your guidance. Thank You Thank You Thank You!!! You are a gift and a blessing in my life!" Chris B., Los Angeles, CA
"I'm in a completely different place than ever before. I can appreciate good things in my life and feel joy, and I'm so grateful for the joy in my life! I'm able to experience others' joy without envy too. I don't feel that same jealousy I used to, and if it does come up I can see it and get out of it quickly." M D, Encino, CA |
