Pamela Simmons is a contributing columnist to several local papers, an author, a Relationship Consultant/Coach, a Licensed Professional Counselor, workshop and seminar leader, group leader and mentor, and LPC Supervisor. Her years as church program coordinator, math teacher and tutor, wife and mother, influenced her interest in counseling and subsequently coaching and writing. Certifications include EMDR, ETT, Parenting Difficult Teens, and The Dialogues Coaching program. Many things including anger, posttraumatic stress, childhood trauma or abuse, grief, and self-esteem influence relationships. Weaving interventions into relationship counseling that are appropriate for the situation assists in the success of relational healing. Believing in the goodness of people’s natural state, Pamela assists people in accessing that goodness in order to accomplish their goals and design lives of joy. Life is about relationships and any that falter contribute to our imbalance physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We can better enjoy the potpourri of life when we allow ourselves to reach our highest and best spirits. Hobbies include writing, reading, yoga, tennis, aerobics, swimming, piano, and community events. Professional organizations include EMDRIA, ETTIA, ACA, APA, and RCI. Being passionate about learning, there is always an abundance of information to be accessed to enrich who we are as members of a larger community. |
