Practice Information

I am a qualified and experienced psychoanalytic psychotherapist, using the insights of modern relational psychodynamic psychotherapy and interpersonal neurobiology. I am experienced in working with people with mental health problems, substance dependencies, and life crises. I have worked with people from all walks of life, ethnicities and backgrounds, from senior civil servants to rough sleepers. I also work with work-related issues, including development and leadership; I have experience as a director of a multi-million pound not-for-profit organisation. My practice is based on the concepts of the importance of relationships, and on self-development, recovery, and discovery - finding out what is really going on for you, and what resources you have to work your way through it. Therapy can be challenging, but it is rewarding, and lasts long after the therapy itself ends. It is about helping you find your own vision to light up the rest of your life.

I have a BSc in Anthropology, an MSc in Intercultural Therapy, a PgC in Leadership, and I am currently completing a D Psych docotoral programme. I am a UKCP-registered psychoanalytic psychotherapist, and I have worked as a therapist for over 10 years in private practice and the NHS.

Bio:

I have had a long an varied adult life, living in different cultures and countries and languages, before settling back into Britain. Here I have worked mainly in the voluntary sector and the NHS, in homelessness, mental health, and substance dependency. I practice psychotherapy in London, and in Winchester, Hampshire; I also work on skype.
