What is your soul trying to tell you? The person you were a year ago, five years ago, ten years ago, is still inside of you. Each of these selves has a voice, an opinion, and as a result there is a lot of inner noise, which can drown out the voice of your soul, the divine spark within. Subscribing to the spiritual model, I view psychotherapy as a spiritual process. My role is to help you hear the voice of your soul so you can move from where you are to where you want to go.
I incorporate insights and techniques from various spiritual traditions as well as from Transpersonal Psychology, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Twelve-Step Recovery, and Spiritual Self-Schema Therapy (SSST), in particular. The primary goal of SSST is to strengthen your spiritual self so healthier scripts (behaviors) can emerge in your life.
As a psychotherapist, who is also an intuitive and a rabbi, I am fluent in spirituality, and can help you to create a spiritual practice to enhance your psychotherapy. |

Bio: |
Robert dos Santos Teixeira, is an intuitive, a psychotherapist, and a rabbi. He guides people in three different ways, always asking the same question, “What is your soul trying to tell you?”
In 1997, Robert moved to New Orleans, and for the next eight years he worked as an intuitive, reading Tarot cards at Jackson Square.
Inspired by the therapeutic dimension of this work, he enrolled at the SUNO School of Social Work. In 2004. Robert went on to gain experience with the mentally ill and chemically addicted, the homeless, the LGBTQ community, women with children, seniors, and the previously incarcerated. He opened his private psychotherapy practice in 2011.
After being displaced by Hurricane Katrina, Robert and his partner, Zafir Buraei, settled in NYC, where the New Yorker Rebbe, Joseph Gelberman (1912-2010), invited him to study for the rabbinate, ordaining him a rabbi in 2007. Robert served as the rabbinic intern and assistant rabbi at The Actors Temple and rabbi at The Little Synagogue. He is the founder and spiritual director of Uri! Uri! Awaken! Awaken! |
