Because the relationship between counselor and client is the number one predictor of a good outcome, Sharon offers a complimentary 1/2 hour consultation. This allows a risk-free, no obligation opportunity to see if there is a good fit in style and personality. Counseling is multi-facetted, working with areas such as the mind, emotions, body, culture, family history, belief systems and more. Some of the areas Sharon works with are Couples Work, Divorce Recovery, Life Transition, Anxiety/Depression, Trauma, Grief and Loss,. Treating everyone with dignity and compassion, listening with empathy and offering insight where appropriate, Sharon seeks to provide a healing atmosphere of safety, honesty and openness.

Education

Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health from Denver Seminary.

Bio:

If you find yourself looking for clarity in a transition or struggling to overcome some difficulty, Sharon offers empathy, insight and compassion as you work together to find greater awareness and solutions. Sharon has been waling on two paths most of her career. In the business world, she owned an accounting firm to assist small business owners with the financial aspect of their business. Also in the faith-based community she served as a Chaplin in the Correctional System where she taught and counseled women. In 2008 she decided to further continue her education and earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health from Denver Seminary. Sharon says "I believe in the combined wisdom that happens in the therapy hour which can give insight and instill hope with strength to carry folks through the change they are looking for." Sharon is currently completing 2000 hours of supervised counseling. When these hours are complete she will be licensed by the State of Colorado as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Supervision is being provided by Mary Bernuth, MA., LPC of Conscious Living Psychotherapy LLC>
