Practice Information |
I work with people who want to help themselves get out of that "stuck" place. Whether it be individuals, couples or families, we will work together to help you move forward. I believe that we as humans are always changing and adapting. Learning how to change and adapt in healthy ways is something many of us did not learn growing up. Sometimes, because of various issues in our formative years, we learned how to cope in ways that no longer work for us as adults. I would like to help you change to be a healthier, more vital, you! |

Bio: |
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in the state of Minnesota. I have received a Masters of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. I received a Bachelors of Individualized Studies degree in Psychology, Business Management, and Communications from the University of Minnesota. I am married and live in the area.
I practice from a systemic perspective believing that our relationships in life, both present and past, influence how we live our lives. I believe that we all live by a script which governs our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Understanding and deconstructing this script is important to our ability to live in a healthy, fulfilling way.
I have worked with a wide variety of clients - men, women, couples, adolescents, and families - all dealing with a wide variety of issues. Some of the issues I have experience working with are depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, spiritual issues, self-esteem, empowerment, sexual addiction, sexual perpetration, sexual victimization, incest, sibling abuse, 12-step programs, anger management as well as others.
I have trained with Pia Mellody from The Meadows Treatment Center on the Post-Induction Therapy model. This model of therapy has proven very effective in helping clients move through their difficult past experiences toward a more relational and healthy life. |
