William I. Perry, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with over twenty-five years experience providing psychotherapy, assessment, consultation and supervision. His practice is currently entirely online, giving you the advantage of lower costs, increased confidentiality and the comfort of never having to leave your home or office. Research to date strongly suggests that online therapy is as effective as traditional in-person therapy, and for some problems, namely addiction/alcoholism and depression, may in some cases be more effective.
Dr. Perry's other specialties include psychotherapy for depression, grief/loss, recovery, response to trauma, anxiety disorders, divorce recovery and the management of stress and anxiety. He is a past Chair of the Ethics Committee of the San Francisco Psychological Association as well as a recipient of the San Francisco Bar Association Community Service Award, the San Francisco AIDS Health Project Volunteer Service Award and the Veterans Administration Service Commendation.
Services are provided in English, Spanish or American Sign Language. Dr. William Perry's Recovery Online Therapy assures you more privacy and comfort without sacrificing effectiveness. |

Bio: |
Originally from just outside of New York, I received my education and training in Los Angeles. I was in San Francisco for over 25 years. I was active in the local community and provide services for the homeless in addition to my private practice. SInce getting married and moving to Ecuador my practice has successfully converted to being exclusively online. This is an exciting direction that my practice is taking.
I currently live between Ecuador and Florida with my wife and her two Siamese cats. I am licensed in California, Florida, and the Republic of Ecuador. |

I have been seeing Dr. Perry for depression and an alcohol problem online. Beside the convenience of not leaving home Dr. Perry was extremely helpful - non-judgmental, empathic and worked with me as a team toward my goals, no predetermined agenda. I recommend him highly.
