I've completed hundreds of hours of continuing education (required to maintain my license) and more hours of professional development (as a facilitator and as a learner) than I can count. In addition, I have gained an education as follows
School of Hard Knocks (Current learner... it never ends!!)
Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy Phillips Graduate Institute aka California Family Study Center
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Human Resources Management California State Polytechnic University (Pomona) and also Foreign Exchange Student to the Hebrew University in Jerusalem |
Bio: |
After more than a decade doing more "paper pushing" than "people helping" as a human resources generalist in a major California corporation, I went back to school, completed a Master's degree, volunteered thousands of hours at community-based family service agencies, and ultimately earned a license from the State of California to be a therapist in private practice.
I am the Chief People Person for Working Relationships -- a consulting practice that not only offers relationship consulting services (like therapy), but Learning Solutions Consulting (including coaching) in the workplace as well.
When you engage me to work with you, you'll find me to be a "what you see is what you get" kind of real person who happens to be a therapist, doesn't take herself too seriously, but takes her work as a therapist, you, your goals/issues, and your therapy VERY seriously.
Truth be told, being a licensed marriage and family therapist affords me a very special opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting contribution, one person and one relationship at a time. I consider the therapist/client relationship to be a sacred trust, and my work as a therapist is among the most important things I do. |
