My personal approach to therapy is to work with my client to help identify barriers to achieving social, behavioral and/or emotional well-being. I will meet you where you are at in your journey and help you to establish clear goals to continue the path to a healthy sense of self. I provide a safe container for you to share your experiences and help guide you toward personal growth. I enjoy working with a broad range of clients including families and individuals of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
I received my Master’s of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Schaumburg. I have obtained specialized training in trauma informed therapy models including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child and Parent Psychotherapy, and Attachment, Regulation, and Competency framework. I have also received training in Evidenced Based Treatment Interventions for mood disorders, traumatic stress, anxiety disorders, and conduct related disorders of childhood/adolescents. I have worked in the field of outpatient mental health for several years and have had the pleasure of working with clients from diverse backgrounds. I enjoy getting to know my clients and helping them to work towards their own personal goals.
I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my daughter learn and grow. My interests include spending time outside with my family, exercising, setting and achieving new personal goals, reading, and trying new activities. Currently, I am working towards learning to golf and strength training. Providing therapy is not only my career but my passion, and because of that, I continue to learn and keep informed on the most recent evidenced based forms of therapy. |
