By incorporating Mindfulness and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, I work with clients to help strengthen their sense of self in order to persevere and achieve their therapeutic goals. Having empathy, patience, understanding, and passion helps me create a safe environment for my clients where they feel free of judgement, which helps my clients thrive from the therapeutic relationship. While therapy can be overwhelming and sometimes cause anxiety due to a possibly new environment, my goal is to continue to remain non-judgmental and play a supportive and caring role throughout the therapeutic journey. I received my BS in Psychology from Muhlenberg College, and my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Villanova University. I have specialized in counseling individuals who have been incarcerated and those who have addiction and mental health concerns as well as individuals who are working through the grief process. I have experience working with clients in various levels of care – rehabilitation, partial care, intensive outpatient and outpatient. I have mainly worked with the adult population of diverse cultural backgrounds (ages 18 and older). While I tailor each counseling experience to my clients, I generally integrate Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My interests outside the office include playing with my dog, Bella, walking the reservoir, and exercising which are all part of my personal care routine. I also enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends as well as hiking and horseback riding. |
