No matter what difficulties we all face, what pain we go through, or what our age group and background is, we all experience a longing for acceptance and connection, to feel empowered and have a meaningful life (yes, even our kiddos!). If you are searching for assistance, I believe that you are aware of this longing and understand that there is something you can do about it! I believe the best place to start the process toward well-being is accepting where we are in the here and now, while also learning to listen to our longings of where we want to be. I view my role as a counselor to foster an accepting and grace-filled environment while empowering individuals of all ages and families to take steps toward healing and growth. Based on your specific needs and personality, I take a holistic approach drawing from various evidence-based therapeutic approaches, recognizing that all people are individuals and all difficulties are unique. I draw from the following theories and interventions: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)/Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, Reality Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), Narrative Therapy, and Existential Therapy.
