Benjamin Waughtal earned his Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Benjamin has experience counseling in both the clinical inpatient setting and the outpatient setting with individuals, adolescent to older adult, struggling with a broad range of issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, and self-harm. Benjamin is especially well versed in work with adolescents, specifically teenage males with ADHD, drug abuse, oppositional behavior, anger/aggression, under achievement, social skills, and adjustment issues.
The therapeutic approach that Benjamin utilizes with clients incorporates aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. He believes in the importance of a client-therapist relationship that is above all comfortable and built on trust to best facilitate growth in the client through direct, open, and honest communication.
