It can also be a very gratifying experience. As a therapist, I strive to provide clients with a relaxed, safe, and trusting environment so that we can work together to overcome any obstacle that may block their path to both mental and physical health. Specific treatment approaches I utilize include CBT, DBT, ACT, Solution-Focused, Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, Person-Centered, and Family Systems Therapy. I focus on the integration of therapeutic interventions styled to the client’s own unique personality in order to help individuals develop positive changes in themselves and their relationships. I earned my Master’s Degree at Georgian Court University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies at Rowan University. I have experience working in the individual, group and family setting with a very diverse population ranging from young children and adolescents to adult and the elderly. I have worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, specific phobias, self-esteem issues, self-image and weight issues, substance abuse, and behavioral problems. I also have experience working with couples and families trying to cope with a loved one that is struggling with substance abuse or mental health issues. In my spare time I enjoy playing and watching sports, running the boardwalk, and spending time with family and friends. |
