What can I expect in my first session?

Supervision: Who do we supervise?

• Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns
• Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Interns

How does supervision work?

MHC Interns and MFT Interns usually receive 1 hour of clinical supervision weekly while providing direct clinical services to clients. Supervision would be directed toward core competencies.

Clergy:

Clergypersons, seminary students (or CPE interns/residents) and their families often face distinct challenges that necessitate special attention about their sense of calling, managing critical relationships and integrating new discoveries about themselves. Compared to the general public, clergypersons are more at risk for burnout, depression, and chronic illness. The perception that the clergyperson is "the problem solver" can be extremely distressing and harmful to the individual, families and congregation. I provide a respectful and safe environment in which matters of faith and personal challenges can be explored and resolved.

Life Coaching: What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a collaborative process where specific steps are identified to successfully achieve desired goals. While psychotherapy focuses on healing the past, coaching focuses on the present and is an active process for people who are committed and ready to take concrete steps towards their own success.
