Geneva Acupuncture is a unique clinic in that it offers acupuncture and massage all at the same time. Giving the patient an extremely relaxing experience and addressing many health concerns or helping with weight loss or facial beautification. Our licensed and board certified practitioners offer a board spectrum or Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities as well as Swedish Massage.

Bio:

Gabriel Bur Kai was born in Chicago and has lived in California and Southern Illinois. Gabriel is an IL. Licensed Massage Therapist. He has been a member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. He is a board (NCCAOM) certified, IL. Licensed Acupuncturist. He attended Midwest College of Oriental Medicine where he received a MS in acupuncture and a BS in nutrition. He brings unique services to Geneva Acupuncture that are rare or non existent in other parts of the US. He became interested in the power of the mind body connection after he helped a friend quit smoking with simple hypnotic suggestion. “I knew that there was link between taich meditation that I had studied informally and the self hypnosis that I was teaching friends and family. It was about the same time that I received my first professional massage sessions. I felt that natural healing was something I wanted to learn about then to share and help others. I deepened my understanding of mediation, and discovered links between hypnosis, the physical body and mediation. I became a licensed massage therapist with a goal to be a holistic practitioner. Gabriel’s strong understanding of the bodies tissue and energy flow makes him a powerful healer. He has been a student of Taichi since the age of 23 and has a good understanding of energy (qi) flow and cultivation. He has been certified in Taichi forms from the Taichi Center in Oak Park IL. He is a honorary senior member of the school. He brings nearly two decades of experience in naturally healing to Geneva Acupuncture. Gabriel was fortunate to travel to Taiwan for his studies and intern under Dr. Wang Fuda of the Greenville Acupuncture Research Center in rural Mado Taiwan. During his travels in Taiwan Gabriel received special instruction in a weight loss program that emphasized diet, tea, and needle less acupuncture. He had additional training in acupuncture aesthetics (acupuncture face lift) from Tzu Chi Buddhist Hospital in central Taiwan.
