I provide a safe and comfortable space during your most vulnerable and difficult time of reflecting and discovering yourself. I believe life is too short to live in the past or fear what the future holds, and I will be by your side helping you to learn how to mentally and emotionally live in the present. I believe in ‘practicing what I preach,’ so I will be practicing skills with you in order to motivate you to continue taking care of yourself and becoming the best version of who you strive to be. My practice approach is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while using mindfulness techniques in order to counteract negative thought patterns and connect the mind and body in a healthy way. At Johnson & Wales University, I completed a full-time 18-month Master’s in Counseling program where I concentrated in Mental Health and Substance Use/Addictions. I have experience working with children as young as 4, adolescents, and adults within a diverse cultural population. With my education and passion in counseling, I use the valuable skills I’ve learned as well as continuing to learn clinical techniques and skills throughout my professional career. |
