Methods and Approaches: Focusing on the client as an individual with unique needs, Lauren utilizes various approaches that include: Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Family/Marital Therapy, Integrative, Intervention, Mindfulness-based (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, Psychological Testing and Evaluation, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
Lauren views each therapeutic relationship as a special and unique collaboration that enables her the opportunity to assist her clients to overcome any obstacles, setbacks, and grievances that come her clients’ way. She believes a strong therapeutic relationship that includes building rapport, respect, and trust is critical in any sort of therapeutic setting. Lauren is especially focused on the fact that her clients each come from various walks of life, and she believes in the importance of getting to know the clients’ own story before developing a successful therapeutic plan that will best fit the client as an individual.
Lauren holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health from The Adler School of Professional Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. |
