As a social worker, my job is to make sure that you have the best experience possible and that you feel warm and welcome. One of my skills is to build rapport with each person that comes through my door, to maintain that rapport, and to continue to work with that person until therapy is no longer needed. I believe in the power of people, and that people are capable of change and amazing things. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University-Idaho and later received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boise State University. I have several therapeutic techniques that I use and they include: CBT, DBT, Art Therapy, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing. I grew up in Rexburg, Idaho and moved to Boise when I went to obtain my Masters. I love music, and if you like music too, that will be something to incorporate into our therapy sessions! I also enjoy concerts, traveling, crocheting, reading, learning new skills, and spending time with family and friends. |
