Melissa earned her Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Melissa has experience working with children, adolescents and adults. She has extensive experience with crisis intervention, grief & loss, body image and DCFS involvement. Additionally, Melissa’s experience includes work with elementary, middle school and high school students experiencing familial changes including death, divorce and parental incarnation. She has also worked in residential settings with adolescent girls experiencing eating disorders.
Melissa believes in the creative process of therapy while utilizing a variety of modalities including art therapy, client-centered and strength-based. She is genuine, has unconditional positive regard and empathetic understanding throughout the therapeutic relationship.
