Practice Information |
If you are struggling with depression, anxiety or fears, stress, grief and loss (of any origin), trauma, low self-esteem, relationship issues as well as life transition issues I may be the right counselor for you.
My clients perceive me as warm, authentic, caring, and compassionate. I would feel honored to be a part of your personal journey towards healing and growth. I enjoy helping people experience new ways of being, enabling them to relate differently to themselves and others. During our sessions we would explore what is not working in your life and what you would like to change. Also, we would use your strengths to help you through the process of change. You know that you have the necessary resources for change within you, although at times you may doubt it, and my role as a therapist is to use my skills and expertise to create a safe and supportive environment for self-exploration and to assist you in the process of change.
I provide both short-term counseling and long-term psychotherapy. I work with adult clients across the lifespan, with men’s and women’s issues, straight as well as gay and lesbian clients. My therapy style is relational and eclectic thus incorporating techniques from different schools of counseling. These include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), the person-centered approach, and psychodynamic models. I also use mindfulness to help you bring more awareness to your life.
I am an EMDR trained counselor (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is a very effective method to process all kinds of traumas including car accidents, surgeries, complicated grief, etc. My full fee is $110 for a 45-50 minute session. I offer sliding scale fees to clients who are committed to the psychotherapeutic process and who want to invest their time and energy but cannot afford my full fee at this time ($65-100 for weekly sessions). I am an out-of-network provider for insurance companies, so please check your benefits to get more information on coverage. It may also be possible to utilize a flexible spending account to cover your counseling sessions please check with your provider for details. I welcome you to call or email me to set up a free 20 minute consultation in person. |
