I received my Masters Degree (MS) in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University. I have experience providing therapy to clients both individually and in groups. I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse population of adults in a community mental health setting.
I work to create an environment where the clients feel comfortable and welcomed. I believe that without trusting, non-judgmental environment, little work can be done. I want to assist clients in reaching their goals, increase their self-understanding and learn new skills that they can use throughout their life. I use an eclectic style, which incorporates many different approaches to therapy which include, but aren’t limited to, cognitive behavioral, Dialect behavior therapy informed techniques, person centered, gestalt, motivational interviewing and existential. My goal is to focus in on the approaches that fit the needs of the client.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with others. Some activities I enjoy doing with others include board games, comedy shows and watching movies. Alone, I enjoy painting and listening to audio books on walks. |
