Reliant Physical Therapy is a full service, outpatient physical therapy clinic, located in Mission Viejo, California, specializing in TMJ/TMD, Jaw, Headache, Neck and Back Therapy. Reliant is dedicated to researching and developing the most effective manual therapy techniques to provide fast, non-invasive, long-term pain relief to clients. Reliant’s approach to therapy is holistic in nature and strives to treat the source of the problem; not simply the symptoms.

Dr. Jacobs' life goal is to Revolutionize the Physical Therapy Industry by continually developing new techniques to treat client's pain faster and more effectively. He has developed the “Tension Release Technique” & " Advanced Soft Tissue Release." (patents pending) His clients testify that his techniques are "effective" and the results are "immediate and long lasting."
Advanced Soft Tissue ReleaseTM (ASTR) is a state of the art, manual therapy technique, developed by Dr. Joseph Jacobs, (patent pending), used to evaluate and treat soft tissue pain associated with TMJ & Jaw Pain, headaches, trigger points, tender points, scar tissue, myofascial restriction and soft tissue adhesions.
Dr. Jacobs was originally inspired to develop ASTRTM when many of his clients responded poorly to traditional physical therapy. ASTRTM is a non-invasive technique that allows most clients to experience pain relief within a few minutes of their first treatment. Reliant is known in the community as the "go to clinic" for physical therapy because of ASTRTM and its ability to get clients back to normal within a very short period of time. |

After having 18 months of traditional physical therapy after two knee surgeries to replace my ACL, I was skeptical that anything more could be done to help my knee pain and stiffness. After just one visit, I was amazed with the results that Dr. Jacobs was able to produce with his Advanced Soft Tissue Release technique! He was very thorough, courteous, and helpful throughout the visit. He took the time to explain the technique to me and how it works. I was very impressed with how my knee responded and loosened up, especially since it has been two years since my original surgery. I went in a skeptic and now I'm a believer!
