I believe that we all carry all the answers to our life’s questions already within us. In my work as psychotherapist, counsellor, and teacher I strive to help you integrate your life experiences, emotions, and personal worldview. In the process you can re-connect to your own inner knowing and thus create an ever-increasing sense of belonging, direction and happiness within yourself.
I have been working as a teacher, counsellor, and spiritual psychotherapist in private practice in Canada since the turn of the century. As a client-centred therapist I fully believe in the value of Carl Rogers’ approach to therapy. He held that as human beings we are constantly striving to self-actualize – i.e. to fulfill our potential and achieve the highest level of ‘human-beingness’ we can. He also felt that the path to this self-actualization is as individual as the person walking it.
My focus in Soul-Spirit Integration as well as human based and human related spirituality means that I choose working modalities from transpersonal therapy, depth-psychology, Gestalt therapy, experiential therapy, and others, according to the needs of my clients. Methods can include talk therapy, body psychotherapy, chakra work, energy work, prayer, drawing and colour work, gestalt oriented pieces, aspects of voice dialoguing, guided imagery and meditation, dream work and much more.
All these tools serve the same end: to help my clients gain deeper mastery of their own inborn power and wisdom. By integrating these different aspects of their lives and beginning to trust their own knowledge of Self, my clients once again create balance and harmony in their own lives.
Recognizing the importance of relationships in our lives and growth processes, I offer a variety of possibilities to grow and reach for that highest level of ‘human-beingness’:
- Individual Psychotherapy for adults of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. - Group Therapy for adults - Personal Growth and Development courses and workshops for adult
My approach in all my endeavours is personal, non-denominational, non-judgmental, non-prescriptive, and deeply honouring of the individual I am working with. No tool works if it doesn't meet the needs of the client or doesn't engage the client; and thus my most important tool is my relationship with my clients.
I offer a 1/2-hour free consultation for new clients so we can get to know each other and explore if this is a relationship we want to invest in and build on. |
