I have experience working and volunteering with a variety of different populations- children with severe autism, patients with traumatic brain injury, adolescents doing outpatient therapy/ wilderness therapy/ residential therapy, those in the child welfare system, etc. My counseling philosophy is to help guide every person to be their best self. I believe that we all go through struggles in life and it is just about finding the correct support systems to learn to move forward, as relationships are the most important things in life. I tend to focus on one’s self esteem and strengths as guides to dealing with whatever issues come along. I feel that there is always a solution to our problems and with the right mindset, everyone can achieve their goals. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, fiancé, and fur baby (my cat named Captain). I love to be adventurous- anywhere from trying a new restaurant to traveling to another country. |
