Our process consists of a consultation and assessment of how bad and frequent your migraine headaches are. Next we make a decision on how many trigger points are going to be treated and if the surgical migraine operation is right for you.
So how does our headache remedy procedure work? Nerve decompression surgery removes muscle tissue. This is a tough tissue called fascia. In addition, we remove small arteries that constrict the nerves. This gives the nerves more room and allows them to decompress thus, improving or aiding in the relief of migraine headaches.
Recovery time is minimal with downtime lasting only 2-3 days. Of course, this can be different for everyone. Ultimately, you will feel the fool effects of the surgery within a few weeks of the operation. |

Dr. Salloum M.D., F.A.C.S., is one of South Florida’s finest talents in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has the rare distinction of double-board certification by The American Board of Surgery and The American Board of Plastic Surgery and is one of a small number of reconstructive hand surgery specialists in South Florida. Dr. Salloum graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University, attended Louisiana State University Medical School, and completed his training at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami.
Prior to his involvement with the Surgical Migraine Clinic, Dr. Salloum established the Miami Center for Plastic Surgery, committed to providing innovative services that would allow his patients to feel more beautiful and confident.
Many of the surgical migraine procedures overlap with aesthetic procedures – including brow lift, facelift and upper eyelift. As a result, Dr. Salloum is able to able to also address patients’ aesthetic requests, combining procedures under one anesthetic. |
