My personal belief about therapy is that Psychotherapy is a creative process of change. The client enters into the process in a collaborative role knowing more about their concerns and strengths than I do. I then tailor the therapeutic process to meet the client's needs based on those concerns and strengths. The goal is to create a renewed sense of empowerment and balance into the client's life. I have been in private practice for 18 years. I work with adults, adolescents and couples as well as groups. (See the information below on my Mindful Eating Group.) My style is interactive. In my practice, I use Internal Family Systems, Feminist therapy, Jungian therapy and Mindfulness. As a therapist, I consider myself a generalist. Yet, over the years I have developed an interest in two areas. One is in working with people and families who are dealing with disabilities or chronic illness. The other interest is Mindful Eating, changing one's relationship with food.
