Amanda King founded Therapies of The Rockies in 2008 to assist families with obtaining quality speech therapy services without having to go to a hospital setting. Amanda worked in the Colorado school systems for three years as well as in home health agencies prior to founding Therapies of The Rockies. She currently focuses on making sure that every client receives the best speech therapy and that Therapies of The Rockies maintains it’s high standard of excellence.

With 8 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, I specialize in working with children from birth to 18. My approach is centered on respect, collaboration, and empowerment. I believe in the unique strengths each child and their family bring to the therapy process, and I'm committed to building upon these in our sessions. I strive to create a welcoming environment where every voice is heard and valued. I encourage families to actively participate in their child's therapy, enhancing the effectiveness of our work together. Clear communication is key in my practice. I provide understandable explanations about the therapy process and progress, and I'm always open to questions. I'm dedicated to educating families about their child's condition and the strategies we're using in therapy. Together, we celebrate successes and foster a sense of hope and possibility for a brighter future.

We are a Mobile and Telehealth Speech Therapy clinic based in Colorado Springs. We have the capability to see patients via telehealth all over Colorado as well as North Carolina and Alabama. What is Speech Therapy? During speech therapy, a speech-language pathologist (SLP) will work with the individual to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses their specific communication needs. Treatment may involve exercises to improve speech production, language comprehension and expression, voice projection, fluency, and cognitive skills. The SLP may also provide counseling and education to help the individual and their family members better understand and manage their communication difficulties.
