Helping Men Struggling in Their Lives and with Their Wives
Welcome! As "The Man That Men Will Talk To," I'm a Phoenix, Arizona based counselor and therapist for men who specializes in working with men who are struggling in their relationships and their lives. I get that even good, smart men need help with their lives sometimes, and need someone other than their buddies to talk something through with. I work with both men individually and with couples. I focus on helping men and women learn how to communicate with each other, develop successful relationships, and improve their relationships. The positive effects of counseling with Jason? A. Renew your marriage with less conflict and anger B. Become a better dad, and stop mirroring bad behaviors to your kid C. Make a happier wife (is a happier life) D. Cool angry, stressful feelings for yourself E. Overly nice guy? Tough time with women? Learn to say no F. Actually figure out how to fix your relationship (you know you've tried over and over to fix it in your head, right?) Depression and anxiety can also subside with my therapy. Work, life and relationships are stressful enough, so stop putting off what needs to be fixed now. It's unfortunate when men or couples wait until the 11th hour to fix things, when it might be too late for relationship repair. And hey, counseling is cheaper than moving out, and a pricey divorce or breakup, right? I also work with gay and same-sex individuals and couples to help create ideal relationships. So, check out my free report, "10 Relationship Tactics To Go From Good To Great With Her." You'll also be signed up for my free monthly newsletter, "Mentality," worthwhile cheat-sheet to provide you with new tools, tips and strategies for great relationships, work life and personal life (things you can tell your wife you came up with on your own!)

I often tell my clients they are doing a nice thing for themselves by going to psychotherapy. One does not need to wait for a difficulty to arise as a motivator to enter therapy. Participating in therapy sessions can bring greater in-depth personal exploration and better, more fulfilling relationships with others. My practice is composed mainly of adults seeking help with anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties including sexual issues and dysfunctions. The therapeutic approach I frequently use is cognitive-behavioral which focuses on anxiety/depression and relational/interpersonal which focuses on creating healthy relationship dynamics. I actively work with clients who are facilitators of their change. What is unique about my practice is that I bring a wealth of personal experiences as an individual with a hearing loss and have had anxiety issues. Having these challenges ground me to be a more sensitive and caring person with an enhanced understanding of anyone who steps into my office.

Integrative therapy including an array of proven effective therapies to help you to break free from the limiting beliefs, behaviors and patterns that have held you back. By integrating a blend of therapies such as dialog, EMDR® (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Brainspotting®, guided imagery, experiential exercises, body awareness and mindfulness and others, we are able to create a program that accesses your own inherent healing abilities that can make real internal changes. I work with you to achieve the deep, real internal changes that release you from old patterns and perceived personal limitations. I have been in practice over 25 years and have a lifetime of my own experience, challenges and triumphs, to guide my work with you. I work with anxiety, depression and grief, traumatic stress disorders (e.g., PTSD), life transitions and performance enhancement issues. I see these “disorders” as symptoms of familiar, but now ineffective, patterns of thinking, believing and ways of being. I have found that most of these problems emerge from either old trauma experiences that added something into your life that you didn't want or need OR developmental deficits, not getting something that you did want or need, which prevented you from knowing your full potential. Now is the time to release that which is no longer helpful or life enhancing and to restore what is right for you. It is my goal to see beyond the appearances of limitation and to see what we know to be the truth of who you are…and to work with you to reveal that truth. I am always amazed and inspired by the tenacity, resilience, and inherent beauty of my clients…and I truly look forward to entering into this sacred time with you.
