Learning to think differently and feel good about yourself.
Many variables contribute to anxiety and depression, such as sleep deprivation, improper eating habits including not only what we eat but when we eat. Also, physical health issues may contribute to anxiety and depression along with effecting the quality of relationships. It's very difficult to feel happiness and accomplish goals when we feel anxious or depressed.
Therapy is able to help with many issues. I see people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship issues, post concussion syndrome better know as traumatic brain injury and interracial issues. Sometimes they are attempting to move past their past in order to move forward. When people first come to me they usually feel hopeless or helpless to make changes. Having an experienced and skilled therapist to listen and guide them makes all the difference. People are able to tell their story and express thoughts and feelings in complete confidentiality, safety, warmth and compassion. This space allows them to see how their past is effecting them today. They learn to think about things differently, feel differently and behave differently.
