Dr. Ficco is a 1986 graduate of Life University School of Chiropractic. He has a degree in Naturopathic Medicine which he obtained in 2005, He also is Board Eligible in Orthopedics, board eligible in Acupuncture, Certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia and recently completed his clinicals toward his Doctor of Medicine which he will receive fall 2011. Since he began practicing as a chiropractor, Dr. Ficco has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced healthcare care.

Hi, I'm Sten Ekberg, a doctor of chiropractic who specialize in getting people better quickly by addressing the source of the problem. If you have had an accident or if you have been physically damaged (cuts, fractures, bleeding etc.) the damage needs to be repaired. Then you need to go to the emergency room. Our health care system excels at that type of emergency intervention. But in virtually all other cases, where you have a chronic problem or a pain that just gradually developed,(chronic pain, arthritis, diabetes, asthma, heart disease, cancer etc) the problem is one of functional imbalance. The only way to change a functional imbalance is to first figure out what caused it, and stop doing that, and secondly to direct the therapy specifically towards reversing the damage that has been done to the body's functional systems. What we also need to keep in mind is that all function in the body is regulated in some way by the brain and the central nervous system. Therefore if you have a functional imbalance in your body, there is always an imbalance at the level of the brain as well. Chiropractors affect the brain.
