One-On-One Tutoring and School
We offer premium one-on-one tutoring and private school classes, both in-home and at our convenient Woodinville location. We serve students and families who are looking for something different due to learning style differences, learning challenges and disabilities or desire a non traditional flexible school schedule and calendar. We offer year round classes and year round open enrollment. Each student's program is customized to meet their individual learning needs and interest. We offer education without limits. When needed, we also work in a coordinated effort with a child’s existing professional team which could include a variety of other professionals: speech pathologists, existing school staff, pediatricians, doctors, psychologists, and neurologists. One-on-One Tutoring Support: For a variety of reasons today, some learners need the support of one-on-one tutoring outside the traditional school day to learn any given subject. Study and Organizational Skills: This is the most “overlooked” skill set in school today. We have increased the amount of homework students are required to do, but haven’t provided them with the tools to study efficiently. At Brock’s, we teach study and organizational skills in the context of working with students by focusing on homework support. Specific skills students need include: Establishing and managing an effective study environment Organization of school materials Test-taking skills Note-taking Understanding difficult reading materials Executive functioning skills Reading, Writing, and Math Interventions: Is your student having difficulty learning to read or write? Educational Consultation
I specialize in educational evaluations to assess academic skills and strategies. I provide educational therapy to teach individuals those skills. My expertise is in dyslexia and other learning disorders, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, written language, language disorders, executive function issues, organizational and critical thinking skills. I also work with individuals with anxiety and depression. Working with the individual, I teach each student "how to learn." I also provide school consultation, school placement service, 504 and special education consultation. ADHD coaching is an integral part of lessons. Parent coaching is available.
