We offer premium one-on-one tutoring and private school classes, both in-home and at our convenient Woodinville location.
We serve students and families who are looking for something different due to learning style differences, learning challenges and disabilities or desire a non traditional flexible school schedule and calendar. We offer year round classes and year round open enrollment. Each student's program is customized to meet their individual learning needs and interest.
Our program is ideal for students who need a flexible schedule due to work/family/creative commitments, travel, physical illness, etc. We have expertise working with a wide range of learning issues including: Learning Disabilities, ADD and ADHD, Gifted and Talented, Mild Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, Anxiety, Depression Disorders, Dyslexia and Dysgraphia. We offer education without limits.
When needed, we also work in a coordinated effort with a child’s existing professional team which could include a variety of other professionals: speech pathologists, existing school staff, pediatricians, doctors, psychologists, and neurologists.
One-on-One Tutoring Support:
For a variety of reasons today, some learners need the support of one-on-one tutoring outside the traditional school day to learn any given subject.
Study and Organizational Skills:
This is the most “overlooked” skill set in school today. We have increased the amount of homework students are required to do, but haven’t provided them with the tools to study efficiently. At Brock’s, we teach study and organizational skills in the context of working with students by focusing on homework support. Specific skills students need include:
Establishing and managing an effective study environment
Organization of school materials
Test-taking skills
Note-taking
Understanding difficult reading materials
Executive functioning skills
Reading, Writing, and Math Interventions:
Is your student having difficulty learning to read or write? Has he or she been diagnosed with dyslexia (reading), dysgraphia (writing) or, dsyscalculia (math)? Does your student experience difficulty with reading comprehension and the feeling of being overwhelmed with the amount of reading required in middle to high-school? Whatever the specific problem, let us evaluate your student’s specific program needs and provide just the “right” customized program.
