I specialize in all areas of trauma and am EMDR certified. I have extensive education in 0-5 development through Harvard Medical School and have specialized in working with adolescents, young adults and their families for the past 18 years. Since 2004 I gained a great amount of experience and expertise in the area of couple's work and communication. Bio
I have been a licensed therapist since 1996. I have carried license in California, Texas, and Colorado. I worked specifically with eating disorders in the state of Texas and worked with children, adolescents and their families in Mono and Inyo County until 2003. I participated in intensive couples training in 2004 and broadened my practice to include couples communication, pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling and assistance with divorce recovery. I have worked in high schools and middle schools as well as with the county, foster care and the adoption process. I have worked as a MFT supervisor and have used my expertise by leading narcotic addiction and teaching parenting classes.
My internship involved working at Camarillo State Hospital, RAIN transitional living shelter, Ventura College Health center and CLU child, family center.
A portion of my passion involves working at home and abroad, thus I have participated in cross cultural work in orphanages and medical centers in Haiti, Brazil, and Mexico. I also assisted with building homes after the Tsunami in Thailand.

I’m not one to write reviews; however, Becky’s work with my adolescent son is deserving of praise and I feel compelled to spread the word so you too may benefit. In relatively short time, Becky used a combination of techniques, including EMDR, to help my son overcome trauma he had suffered. My son transformed from a curled up quiet sad soul with little confidence into a successful strong communicative high school student, now attending college out-of-state and earning straight “A” grades! Becky was the guiding force behind his transformation and I often see him using tools she provided to stay strong and succeed as a student and in his relationships with people at all levels.
Becky is dependable, objective, warm, present and obviously caring. I have seen what a great listener she is during joint sessions with my son and her style creates a safe place that lends itself to truly opening up, a critical component to achieving a transformational experience. She is an intelligent, worldly and gifted therapist that you’ll quickly trust to guide your journey and conquer debilitating obstacles. Ultimately, I trusted Becky with my son and my family… I am so glad I did!
