Life is a journey, and in seeking therapy you are taking a step to shape that journey. Choosing a therapist can be difficult, complicated by therapy jargon. To put it simply, we will examine your past, evaluate your present and collaborate on your future. Therapy is not without risk. However, I will provide a safe environment and a non-judgemental ear for you to explore your life and its infinite possibilities. You will determine where you want to go and I will work with you to help you get there. I look forward to hearing from you.
My approach is Eclectic combining Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-Focused therapeutic interventions. To put it simply, we will examine your past, evaluate your present and take steps towards your desired future. I am an active, collaborator who will work with you to achieve your goals. I am open, honest and caring and will provide a safe place for you to continue your journey of self-discovery. I believe in accenting and utilizing your strengths so that you incorporate them into your daily life. I will support you and challenge you. I believe that any gains from therapy are in direct proportion to the participation of the client. In other words, I expect you to work at your therapy.

Bio
I earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy in New York in 2009, moved to California and began working with clients with eating disorders in the residential setting. In addition to my private practice, I work at a psychiatric hospital with eating disorder patients at the inpatient, partial hospitalization and out-patient levels. I have extensive experience with depression, anxiety, ocd, and addiction as well as general relationship/family issues.

I am curious by nature and seek out new experiences. This is reflected in my employment history and social life. Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years as a professional actor/dancer/singer in New York City. I am a member of both the Actors' Equity Association and Sag-Aftra. I was in the United States Army Reserve for eight years. I am a certified personal trainer and I believe exercise is part of a healthy lifestyle. I have been an athletic coach, theater/dance teacher and mentor. I have travelled the country speaking at schools to young children and adolescents about bullying, physical fitness, safety and substance abuse. I participate in marathons, triathlons and other running events. From scuba-diving to rock climbing to sky-diving, I live life to the fullest. I will bring my positive, goal oriented attitude to our time together.
