We all want to be physically and emotionally fit - to experience energy, creativity, inner peace, joy, and positive relationships. Often this process seems to flow effortlessly, and we experience the fullness and richness of life without effort. At other times, life stresses may get in the way, creating depression, anxiety, and relationship problems. Sometimes we just feel confused, frustrated, and stuck. At those times it helps to have a collaborator, someone with the kind of experience to help sort things out and find our way out of the problem; someone who can help us recognize our strengths, resources, and resiliencies, and move toward solutions. This has been my life's work and my passion for 20 years. If you'd like to talk to me please give me a call. |

Bio |
It has been my privilege to serve as a therapist in private practice since 1991. I have additionally worked for non-profit social service agencies, as well as multi-disciplinary treatment teams. During this time, I have assisted hundreds of individuals of all ages with a wide variety of problems. I believe that every individual has a unique path through the inevitable challenges life presents, and that it is my job to honor and respect individual differences and needs. As a therapist, it's my job to look for creative solutions to all kinds of problems. I work in collaboration with primary care physicians and psychiatrists as well as other health care professionals. My graduate studies were completed at the University of San Francisco in 1989. I consistently stay abreast of new research in the field of psychotherapy, and utilize an approach that is trans-theoretical. As Carl Jung said "One shoe does not fit all feet." I would be happy to speak to you about your needs. |
