Because no two persons are alike, my approach to acupuncture and bodywork therapy is as individual as the patients I treat. Each person is thoroughly evaluated at the time of initial meeting and a customized treatment plan is then outlined to suit his/her needs and desired result.

My practice focuses on personalized care based on the principles of Oriental Medicine, nutrition, exercise physiology and lifestyle modification to meet the specific needs of my patients. I have over 25 years of experience in the field of complimentary medicine and the treatment of various syndromes including: pain management, stress relief, weight management, gynecological disorders, gastrointestinal syndromes, male health issues, immune health, etc.

I look forward to working with individuals who have made a conscious decision and dedication toward their health goals.

I was dealing with a shoulder injury that had severely reduced my range of motion - I was no longer able to put my right hand behind my back nor could I lift my arm much higher than my shoulder. This was a real concern, beyond being very uncomfortable, since I'm a massage therapist and my body (especially arms) is my tool. I saw Robert a few times and the results were such that I've been recommending people to him ever since.

Robert is a throwback to an era in which healthcare practitioners listened attentively to their patients, asked thoughtful questions in a sympathetic manner, explained prognoses and remedies with patience, and provided treatment with compassion.

I'd had serious lower back pain for years, and was wearing a back brace at least 10 hours a day just to get through life. (The pain was so severe I could not even bend down to pick up a dropped pencil without hanging on to the desk and slowly getting on my knees.) For two years I'd tried doctors, several chiropractors, rehab, acupuncture by an MD, and Swedish massage, among other things, none of which gave me any lasting relief. I was chatting with another client after receiving a Swedish massage, and she highly recommended Robert Giordano. I am eternally grateful to that stranger -- Robert 's combination of shiatsu massage and Chinese medicine not only relieved my back pain, but he taught me how to use shiatsu on myself to keep it from returning. I felt 90 per cent better within 6 weeks, and have been pain-free for over 12 years now. (Less than year after meeting him, I was able to take up swing dancing at the age of 50.) Robert is highly skilled, sensitive and supportive, and I recommend him most highly.
