In my personal and professional experience we seek therapy when we realize that the coping mechanisms that we have employed for most of our lives are not only not working anymore, but that they are preventing us from experiencing the lives that we would like to be living. When this happens we experience anxiety, depression and a general feeling of dissatisfaction with life.
Entering therapy is a courageous step prompted by our inner warrior. It requires energy and commitment so that we can continue when the process becomes challenging. Therapy is a process that can be both exciting and painful. Should you feel ready to explore this path give me a call so that we can determine whether or not we are a good fit. Bio
I have been a vagabond, a cabinet maker, a construction worker, a restaurant worker, a real estate broker/ developer and finally and later on in my life, a mental heath-care provider. I came into the field quite by accident in my early 40's. I worked fulltime, had a part time private practice and went to school full time, pursuing my BA, Master's and Ph.D. degree's for 15 years. My various life and work experience has served me well and has enabled me to relate to people from many walks of life.
For the past 18 years I have been a student of the healing arts of the Peruvian Andes and Amazon Jungle. This work has informed me as a human being and as a therapist.
