Practice Information
Therapy is a guide toward defining and reaching life goals. With over 30 years of experience, my interactive approach utilizes the skills and strengths of the individual or couple to resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. I work with adults dealing with depression, anxiety, phobias, addictions, loss and grief, lifestyle changes and crisis. When indicated, I use therapeutic hypnosis for a range of issues such as improving self esteem, breaking habits, pain reduction, and smoking cessation. I use EMDR for phobias and traumas.

Bio:
I have 40 years of experience in clinical social work practice, including psychotherapy, supervision, consultation, training, and behavioral health education.

After receiving my doctorate, I became CEO of Consultants of Mind Matters, Inc. This company provides psychosocial services to individuals, couples, and groups. She also develops wellness programs and learning materials in the areas of stress management, weight management, addictions, and cultural diversity for organizations.

Because of my dedication to teaching others how to enhance their personal development and make lifestyle changes, I developed a research project on lifestyle change, entitled "Traveling Beyond the Fork in the Road: A Guide to Living a Healthy Lifestyle." This project was presented for Society of Teachers of Family Medicine in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, Nashville, Tennessee, and Oak Brook, Illinois.

I enjoy customizing projects and materials to help others in their self-growth. My newly published journal is titled My Notes: Journeys to Inspiration. It is a guide to make desired life changes.
