Practice Information

While comfortable with clients of all ages, I am particularly passionate about working with adolescents and young adults. I love helping clients learn to manage anxiety, become more self-compassionate, and develop a greater sense of self-worth. ​My approach is all about discovering your resilience and helping you bloom. I believe in empowering my clients with practical tools and knowledge in a nurturing, non-judgmental environment. I’m warm, yet direct, and love working with people who are ready to make lasting changes. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy, focusing on overall wellness. I incorporate elements of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and a strengths-based approach into my practice.

Education

I graduated with a Master's Degree of Social Work from Brigham Young University in 2008. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Maryland with over a decade of experience with diverse populations and presenting issues.

Bio:

I pride myself on being different from the average therapist. I know coming to therapy can be a little intimidating, so my first goal is to establish a connection that puts you at ease. My down-to-earth approach won't feel stuffy or overly clinical, but you'll still leave with a toolkit full of skills to lead a more fulfilling and satisfying life. ON A PERSONAL NOTE I'm originally a West Coast girl, and my first job was scooping ice cream at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. I was a DJ in high school at a small radio station (my friend and I even had our own radio show!). You're unlikely to have met someone who loves good chocolate as much as I do. I lived in France & Switzerland for a year and a half, and I'm always fantasizing about the next opportunity to travel. I love spending time with my family (including our newest addition, Felix the pup) and friends.
