We are a wholistic health center who sees every person as an individual – body, mind and spirit. We offer natural therapies to help each person reach his or her maximum state of well being. We offer acupuncture, massage, shiatsu, myofascial release therapy, reflexology, prenatal massage, Reiki, craniosacral therapy, yoga therapy, private yoga sessions and more! Our promise is to enhance your sense of well being, to alleviate discomfort and to help facilitate a meaningful healing process, in a manner which is safe, respectful, and comfortable for you. We are professional, certified and licensed therapists. What does an acupuncturist do? During the initial exam a full health history is taken. Questions are asked regarding health, symptoms and lifestyle. An appropriate physical exam is conducted, including pulse and tongue diagnosis. Gathering this information enables the practitioner to effectively diagnose and detect any specific imbalances of Qi that may have contributed to a person’s health problems. The practitioner can then create a well-structured treatment plan. Once the imbalances of Qi are detected, an acupuncturist will place fine, sterile needles at specific acupoints along meridian pathways. This safe and painless insertion of the needles can unblock the obstruction and balance Qi where it has become unbalanced. Once this is done, Qi can freely circulate throughout the body, providing adequate nourishment to cells, organs, glands, tissues and muscles. This can eliminate pain and restore balance and harmony, as well as the body’s ability to heal itself—ultimately leading to optimal health and well-being.

I am passionate about Chinese Medicine, and have witnessed its powerful effective of healing a person at the body, mind, and spirit levels. Every treatment is different for each person because of one's unique life experience. As my practice has grown over the past thirteen years, so has my way of helping people get to the root of an illness. Sometimes, moving a physical pain has a tremendous impact on a person's life. Other times, the physical pain is a manifestation of a deeper issue. Using a blend of many traditions, including Five Element and TCM, I help a person see where there is stuckness. Lifestyle coaching is an important part of treatments, since developing healthier habits outside of the treatment room is the key to keeping one in balance. Using the spirit of the points and their empirical functions help a person with these changes. Herbal medicine, when appropriate, can also help someone have a "treatment" every day, since the herbs improve the functioning of the whole being, not merely band-aid the problem. Being a practitioner of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine is extremely rewarding and the pursuit of knowledge never ending!
