Practice Information
My favorite author once wrote, “It is the peculiar nature of the world to go on spinning no matter what sort of heartbreak is happening,” which inevitably means that there are times in everyone’s life when living becomes too heavy, complicated, confusing, painful and/or difficult to manage. I, personally, know that feeling all too well. But what if you could learn to honor and express your heartbreak, your pain and your struggle without suffering through it or allowing it to control you? What if you could learn to manage the stress of tomorrow by choosing to live mindfully today?

Pain is inevitable and often uncontrollable, as we are all intensely experiencing now in the midst of COVID-19. I know it can feel unfair and overwhelming, but, while pain may be unavoidable, suffering is a choice based on how we process, cope, and react to challenges that life throws our way. Each of us has the power to choose differently and to create positive change. With the right guidance and support, you can learn to free your mind, and, in doing so, free your life.

Passionate about fusing traditional psychotherapy with an integrative and holistic approach, I offer an opportunity to connect mind and body. I specialize in working with diverse individuals and families, especially teens and young adults who are experiencing anxiety and stress, relationship challenges, life transitions low self-esteem and depression.

Yoga Teacher Certification
Bio:
After receiving my Masters in Mental Health Counseling and working as a counselor in a high school, I felt a crucial aspect of my training was missing, which led me to South East Asia to obtain my Yoga Teacher Certification and to extensively study mindfulness and meditation. I now incorporate Eastern healing philosophies and practices into my work, alongside traditional psychotherapy modalities, in order to provide my clients with deep, meaningful and collective therapeutic experiences.

Committed to being creative and intuitive in my approach, I generally utilize a mix of techniques in order to uniquely tailor therapy sessions to each client’s needs. Generally, I work to help my clients broaden their awareness and consciousness, gain insight, challenge and resolve problematic patterns, learn healthy coping strategies, live mindfully and authentically and seek their unique version of joy.

Above all, I believe that the strongest therapeutic relationships are built on trust, respect, transparency, empathy and equality, and I always counsel from a nonjudgmental place of understanding and compassion. I feel it is my role to meet and honor every individual wherever they currently are on their journey and to walk alongside them as they forge their own path.
