Practice Information
You may be seeking help because of an upsetting event in your life, you may have struggled a long time with a particular issue. In either case I work with you as a whole person rather than only your symptoms. It's important to look at disavowed aspects of our feelings — excluded from conscious awareness — that can hinder our lives, as if we were driving a car with one foot on the gas and one foot on the brake. We'll get somewhere but with a lot of unnecessary friction and wear and tear.

I work with individuals and couples, ages 13 to seniors, to resolve issues including depression, anxiety, difficulty with work or school, feeling stuck, relationship troubles, grief, addiction, and the effects of trauma.

Therapy is about living the life you hope to lead. Sometimes we'll look at how your past has affected your present state of mind, but more importantly we'll focus on what you are seeking. Therapy isn't always easy, but it helps you move through life with more calm, confidence, and clarity.
