Tired of Feeling Sad, Anxious, Worried, Angry or Stuck?

Tap Into Your Inner Wisdom to Live and Love Life Fully

I offer individual, HIPAA-compliant telehealth counseling sessions to residents of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho who are age 18 and older. Sometimes life does not look or feel like what you had in mind for your future. Perhaps you or someone you love just received a cancer diagnosis. You may be grieving the death of a loved one or the loss of a relationship or job. You may be dealing with health concerns and struggling to remain hopeful about the future. You may feel sad, anxious, angry, worried or stuck or have feelings or thoughts that seem to dominate every waking moment. Or maybe you have forgotten what it feels like to be happy. Counseling can can help! I view therapy as a collaborative process that can help provide insight, direction, and comfort. I believe that each and every one of us has within us an amazing capacity for resiliency and the capacity to change. It is my intent to create a safe space for you to tap into your inner wisdom. I do this through unconditional empathy, listening and understanding. I also draw upon modalities such as CBT and solution-focused therapy. I get that starting therapy can be intimidating. I consider you to be an expert on you and believe that together we can explore your thoughts and emotions in a safe environment with the goal of creating the kind of life you envision for yourself. I look forward to working with you.

Counselling that meets you where you are

a collaborative, non-judgmental space

Hi, I’m Amanda, a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) and the founder of Skyline Counselling. I provide virtual and phone counselling for adults across Ontario. I support individuals navigating chronic illness, chronic pain, disability, grief and loss, including pet loss, anxiety, depression, stress, caregiver fatigue, and life transitions. Living in a rural Northern Ontario community, I also understand some of the unique barriers and difficulties people can face when trying to access support and services. My approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are, without pressure to have everything figured out before reaching out for support. I believe therapy should move at your pace and be adapted to your individual needs, experiences, and capacity. I take a whole-person approach to counselling, recognizing the ways our mental health can be shaped by physical health, relationships, life experiences, responsibilities, environment, and larger systems around us. My work is informed by person-centred, strengths-based, trauma-informed, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches, while always tailoring support to the individual. Accessibility is very important to me. I offer virtual and phone appointments across Ontario, including evening and weekend availability, with shorter and extended session options available to support different needs and schedules. You do not need to be in crisis to reach out for support. Therapy can be a space to process, cope, heal, grow, and feel less alone in what you are carrying.
