Life Is Not a Dress Rehearsal
Alternative Holistic Healing. Healthy mind in a healthy body
Life is not a dress rehearsal. How we cope with the ebb and flow of our moods today paves the road for tomorrow. Pain, PTSD, depression anxiety loneliness, anger fear, boredom perfectionism, loss grief , etc. inevitably create stumbling blocks Mind/Body based holistic therapy enables us to reintegrate and re-negociate these blocks and restores a sense of vitality and engagement with the flow of life sometimes quickly and easily Therapy is a partnership, I may be your coach but your story, your needs and preferences lead the way. My job is to facilitate you being able to get to re-connect with your strengths and vitality that so that you can put into place those things that will enable you to feel at home and in charge of your life again . How do we do this? First I listen very carefully to your story and your reasons for coming to counseling at this point in time. I will then use a ‘toolbox’ of somatic meridien based energy techniques to target the experiences and memories from the past that may still be holding you, i.e. the energy in your cellular memory, hostage to this past. Once we have reprocessed old stuff, you will feel an internal release that will enable you to come more fully into the present moment in body, mind and soul. The goal is for you to reclaim your life, your happiness, your direction and your inner peace. Mindfulness, somatic resourcing, energy clearing with EMDR, TAT, EFT etc. will be among the tools I will use and teach you to use on your own. My original training and many years of experience as a psychoanalytic psychodynamically oriented therapist are an invaluable resource which permeate my work .Our increased understanding of how the brain functions and how the events of our lives actually create the neurons and wiring of our brains have enabled us to facilitate a far more profound healing effect that was once possible. We now know that the brain is affected by traumas of all shapes and sizes, from major traumatic events, war abuse injury etc to the seemingly more mundane bumps and bruises of life. Sometimes this results in full-blown PTSD. Sometimes in more mild symptoms, anxiety depression, fear, sadness. The good news is that since our brains can create new cells throughout the life span, we actually can rewire our brains throughout our lifetime! I encourage the people I work with to use all the wonderful educational resources, books, tapes, the web that provide insight into ways of understanding and healing what ails us

Balancing Body, Mind, Heart and Soul
My practice includes: Integrative Acupressure, Clinical Acupressure, Positional Release Therapy, Tapas Acupressure Technique, Tong Ren Therapy, Reiki, Reflexology, Thai table massage and more. I also see people for individual and group sessions for hypnotherapy. Integrative Acupressure as developed by Sam McClellan uses touch, finger pressure and gentle manipulation to stimulate the body’s own innate healing wisdom. Based on the oriental Healing System, it works with Acu-points along meridian pathways (without needles) to move energy and restore emotional and physical balance. It is also helpful for treating pain and tension of the neck, back and shoulders, stress, nervousness, chronic fatigue, PMS and a host of other imbalances. All treatments are performed on a massage table while you are fully clothed. Integrative Acupressure complements most other kinds of treatment or therapy. It is pleasant and enjoyable and will most likely leave you feeling relaxed and energized. I have been Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork Since 1993 I work from the premise that all things are part of a greater whole and in all the work I do, the emphasis is on cooperation and teamwork.
