Experienced, Effective Massage Therapy
Deep tissue and sports massage for wellness and performance. Each massage is tailored to the current goals of clients, such as relief of pain, improved flexibility, more energy, stamina, etc. Many clients have been with me for several years as they meet their goals and set new ones. Getting there is fun! Sometimes performance goals are athletic, like running marathons or improving golf scores. Regular therapeutic massage is a major factor in preventing injuries as well as maintaining health. I practice massage with empathy. I understand the pain and limitations of conditiions such as migraines, fibromyalgia and TMJ. I work to improve quality of life and eliminating headaches and back pain. Understanding dysfunction and feeling it helps me devise massage techniques to resolve those problems and eliminate patterns that produce them. My toolbox is equipped with many different massage techniques -- neuromuscular, sports, Swedish, lymphatic and active release to name a few - and I use combinations of those techniques to achieve results. Those combos help dislodge chronic knots and erase patterns. If a client tells me they always have a knot in a certain area of the shoulder, I use several techniques to remove the knot for good. I also draw on my experience as a medical writer and researcher to find ways to get rid of stubborn patterns. Often what works for athletes trying to overcome a touchy hamstring often works as well for people trying to erase tension from an old whiplash. Who knew?

MyoSolutions: Because Pain Relief Is Very Relaxing!
MyoSolutions, LLC provides massage & bodywork for pain relief, improved mobility and athletic performance. Our clients are diverse in their stages of life and wellness. They range from tweens to near centurions. They are ironman tri-athletes, award winning swimmers, occupational athletes and people who are currently living with and treating for cancer, MS and Parkinsonism. We begin with a health assessment and interview to determine our client's goals. We then use our assessment skills and proficiency in manual techniques to meet those goals. We utilize all of our training and skills to assist our client's in achieveing the desired outcome. Therefore, we do not charge different prices for different types of massage. Our job is to manipulate your muscles not your wallet. Our sessions are for the full session time. This means if you request a 60 minute massage you will be on the table receiving massage for A FULL HOUR. We do not engage in the practice of offering 50 minutes for a one hour massage. That 10 minutes other therapists commonly use for client's dressing and undressing may not seem like much, but it is nearly 20% of your session time. Are you getting a 20% discount? Do you really want to pay your massage therapist for allowing you to change? We do not believe this practice is in the best interest of our clients so we do not do it. Although most people we see are dealing only with soft tissue issues, we take special pride in being one of few local practices trained and experienced in working with medically frail clients particularly those who have M.S. or Parkinsonism and those who are living with cancer, as well as those who have suffered a stroke or TIA. Because these treatments must be very specifically tailored to the indvidual's needs please call for more information if you would like to know if you or a loved one would benefit from this type of work.

Relax. Re-Align. Rejuvenate Your Soul.
I am a NY Licensed Massage Therapist who for many years has followed a more natural and holistic approach to life. Educated at the highly regarded Finger Lakes School of Massage, I went on to become certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Body Work and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. For many years as an artist, I used my hands to sculpt and mold many different mediums. I found art to be therapeutic and meditative. "Art fuels the soul." After a traumatic injury, I was given the gift of therapeutic massage sessions to aid in recovery. The increased range of motion and reduction of scar tissue was amazing! Learning that massage therapy had many medical benefits opened my eyes to new possibilities. Massage therapy is transformative, both physically and mentally. I made the choice to walk down a new path, one that still enabled me to "sculpt" with my hands, and transform lives anew. But massage therapy doesn't just have medical benefits. Taking time out for oneself has many mental and spiritual benefits as well. We need to care for ourselves first, in order for us to care for others. Stress reduction, decreased recovery time, improved immune system functions, relief from tension headaches, better sleep - What's not to love about massage therapy? Compassionate, intuitive, with an ability to find those spots of tension you never even realized you had. Understanding the importance of a healthy body and realizing that many ailments can be treated with touch therapies fuels my ambitions to continue learning, exploring, and helping people. Through my training in many different massage therapy techniques, I design full body and target-specific therapeutic sessions customized to the needs of individual clients. Each massage is unique. A gift to you. I believe in the power of therapeutic body awareness. I welcome you to indulge in deep relaxation and physical healing. Relax. Re-align. Rejuvenate your soul. Experience Okazaki Style Restorative Massage Therapy
By a Senior Advanced Instructor W/ 44 Years of Experience!
OUR APPROACH Our main focus is medical massage. We have worked successfully with clients ranging in age from 4 to 90 years old who have come to us with a wide variety of problems including migraine headaches, sciatica, general back and neck pain, fibromyalgia, carpel tunnel syndrome / tendonitis, etc. We are experienced in pre & post natal massage and long-term therapy for the elderly. We are results oriented and will not take you as a client unless we feel we can help you. Quite simply, the overwhelming majority of our clients have soft tissue based problems; an area in which Western medicine falls short. A large number of our clients with whom we have had success have been in pain for substantial lengths of time (up to 19 years) and many have exhausted all Western medicine options before coming to us. We are a drugless therapy; an alternative to pharmaceutically based healthcare. We are an on-going therapy program. Our therapy program is a 5 faceted approach, custom tailored for each client. It is, essentially, an Asian / energy based approach assembled by us and reflecting our (combined) over 78 years of experience. The program / approach consists of the following components: 1. Acupuncture / acupressure – This is mainly used for pain relief and to combat inflammation. 2. Seifhukujitsu / Okazaki style, traditional Japanese deep-tissue massage / tui na – This encompasses a wide range and large number of specific deep tissue loosening / relaxing techniques primarily based upon acupuncture theory. 3. Stretching / alignment techniques – Once the tissue is sufficiently relaxed, these techniques allow the body to naturally align itself. 4. Specific exercises for specific problems – The client is taught a progression of specific, mainly stretching, exercises that target his or her specific problems. These exercises come primarily from Chinese martial arts, chi gung, and yoga. 5. Lifestyle assessment and modification – This is an in-depth, on-going assessment to identify the client’s real (not merely symptomatic) problem; as well as an on-going educational process to inform and educate the client about good habits that can be developed and bad habits that can be eliminated. Most people come to us initially with a medical problem; after their problem is “solved” or becomes manageable, most of our client’s continue to come on a “maintenance” schedule. They have learned to appreciate the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine: the answer is to come so you don’t hurt, instead of only coming when you do hurt. Prevention is the best medicine. We continuously reevaluate the client’s program. Most people come to us initially with a medical problem; after their problem is “solved” or becomes manageable, most of our client’s continue to come on a “maintenance” schedule. Muscular Injury Specialist
Massage Therapist
Clarksville, TN 37043
Clinical Massage Therapy
Muscular Injury Specialist is an owner/operated practice specializing in clinical massage therapy. The therapist, Michelle Reisinger, uses numerous techniques in the quest for a decrease in pain and and increase in function. Each session may vary according the the results of the previous session. Muscular Injury Specialist has been based in Chiropractic and Physical Therapy Clinics since 2000. It is currently located in Larry Johnson Chiropractic. Muscular Injury Specialist strives to offer Quality Massage services at an Affordable Rate. Many take advantage of the affordable rates and high quality services to address chronic pain issues such as Migraines/headaches, Shoulder Pain and Limited Range of Motion, Upper Back Pain, Low Back Pain, Sciatica, and Poor Circulation in the legs. Many have Disc/Nerve related symptoms causing chronic muscle tightening and pain. Many have had Joint Replacements, and suffer from Arthritis, Stenosis, Degenerative Joint Disease and Osteoporosis. Muscular Injury Specialist also treats many Sport Related Injuries and/or chronic issues related to Athletics. A recent testimony is that of a Racquet Ball player. He came to Muscular Injury Specialist after injuring his shoulder. He had already taken several weeks off in the hopes his injury would heal itself. It had not. As a result, he thought he would no longer be able to play again. After one treatment, he was able to resume his game. In the first week, he played one day, holding back only minimally. He then played another day holding nothing back. So, he pushed it further and played a tournament, winning 4 out of 4 games. He continues to come on a weekly basis, playing 4 days a week with no pain complaints. Muscular Injury Specialist also treats many clients on a weekly basis due to on going job related stresses. In the height of many careers, there are many mental stresses as well as physical stresses that will not go away until the career is over. Consistent massage therapy can minimize the ongoing stresses, relieving most, if not all of the symptoms. A recent example of this is a school teacher. Most teachers how have come through the clinic usually suffer with pain located between the shoulder blades, neck pain and headaches. This teacher was no exception. She also suffered low back pain. After one treatment, she noticed her symptoms went away. She continues to come on a weekly basis with the complete alleviation between sessions. Muscular Injury Specialist also recognizes the occasional need for referrals out to other medical providers. Massage Therapy sometimes needs to be used in conjunction with other forms of treatment. At times, Diagnostic tests are required. There have been a few instances in which Massage Therapy could not help, and would even be detrimental to the client. This is usually in the case of pain caused by severe nerve damage and or severe disc herniation needing immediate surgery.
