OMPT Specialists
Physical Therapist
Southfield, MI 48034
Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy
One-On-One Care with Your Physical Therapist
Our Services A revolution in physical therapy OMPT means “orthopedic manual physical therapy.” OMPT practitioners are highly educated, trained and practiced – far more than traditional physical therapists, with 2,000 hours of additional study and training. OMPT specialists use hands-on techniques to improve range of motion and function while alleviating symptoms. Our advanced approach offers patients a better quality of care and, in the end, better results over traditional physical therapy treatments. At OMPT Specialists, there is another key difference: Every patient is given one-on-one, custom care. In traditional physical therapy settings, one PT often handles several cases at a single time. But every OMPT practitioner gives complete attention to a single patient, which in itself means better, more focused care. And since a vast majority of OMPT cases (approximately 99%) are covered by insurance, there is no additional cost for the patients for this better-quality care. The OMPT difference Traditional physical therapy focuses on the treatment of mere symptoms. Often this means an unresponsive treatment because the real cause of the problem may be located elsewhere. This treatment of “referred pain” can lead to an inaccurate physical therapy evaluation and ineffective treatment. Orthopedic manual physical therapy focuses on thorough, one-on-one evaluations by better-trained practitioners, hands-on techniques and cause-based treatments. Ultimately, the goal is to improve the quality of range of motion, maximizing function and comfort. Mchenry, IL 60050
One-On-One Personalized Physical Therapy Treatment
Since 1988, OrthoGo Physical and Aquatic Therapy, located in McHenry, IL, has specialized in orthopedics. Our rehabilitation facility has standard exercise equipment designed for everyday tasks, plus our trained therapist aids you in each exercise to help you on the road to recovery. To take proper care of musculoskeletal problems, we use the McKenzie Method, used for back and neck problems. In this method there are three levels of assessment testing which use range of motion techniques and responses to pain. We have a Therapeutic Pool on-site which allows individuals with weakness and/ or pain to exercise more easily and then progressing to land based exercises as the patient is able. In addition to the McKenzie Method, we also provide excellent physical therapy for: • Orthopedic injuries • Low back and neck pain • Industrial evaluation and rehabilitation • Sports injuries • Golf rehabilitation and performance program • Injury prevention OrthoGo Physical Therapy customizes each program to suit your specific injury. You can relax in privacy during the rehabilitation exercises, and our physical therapists are always gentle and careful when working with you. OrthoGO is a member many insurance plan networks. If you are not in network, special arrangements can be made to allow reasonable cost efficient care. Payment plans are also available for those that need them. At OrthoGo Physical and Aquatic Therapy, our goal is to restore you and your health.
