Optimum Well-Being with Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology are often effective for a wide range of complaints including many types of pain arthritis fibromyalgia, fatigue, menstrual and fertility problems, respiratory illnesses, digestive disorders, addictions, stress, sports injuries, arthritis, hypertension, anxiety and depression, insomnia and side effects from cancer treatment. Our state of health is reflected in our physical fitness and vitality, our emotional responsiveness and serenity, our mental clarity and creativity and our morale and sense of purpose. When there is an underlying harmony and balance in our system, we enjoy optimum well-being. When we experience symptoms of ill health and disease, acupuncture seeks to restore our natural balance so each of us can experience our birthright of health. Patients committed to a healthy lifestyle who utilize acupuncture treatment for their health issues as well as for ongoing preventive care often experience: • Being sick less often and recovering more quickly • Improvement of vitality and stamina • Reductions in long term health care costs • More capacity for emotional equilibrium

Bringing You The World of Chinese Medicine
What is Chinese Medicine? Many people are acquainted with Acupuncture and possibly herbs but the world of Chinese Medicine offers many other methods and techniques. When you come to us for treatment, we may use multiple approaches among the five major branches of Chinese Medicine: acupuncture, herbs, diet or nutrition, exercise and meditation. What is especially unique about Chinese Medicine is that we start with you, not your problem. We treat the person not the condition. Our Unusual Approach We are called Attentive Dragon because we pay attention to you. We treat only one patient at a time. We listen to you and provide time-consuming treatments like moxabustion which are so beneficial. When you are in our office, we give you our full attention. You are our focus and our only concern.

Empower Yourself to Be Healthy & Pain
Free Again - Mind & Body Mastery
To facilitate clients’ own healing process, using herbal supplements and vitamins to bring the body back in balance. Health is our normal, natural condition which can be maintained by nutrition and exercise and the elimination of toxins and stressors. To educate communities and individuals to attain and maintain optimum health. My Simply Aware of Self Roadmap is a unique approach to help women regain their energy, focus, and gut health, naturally without prescriptions so they can live life fully, feeling and looking their best… especially if you’ve already seen lots of doctors. At Simply Aware of Self, I believe that health is wealth... and that everyone deserves vibrant health. Unfortunately, the conventional medical system wasn't designed for creating & maintaining vibrant health... it was born out of the need for acute care interventions (think fractures, car accidents, and the like). In a time where chronic wellness issues threaten to bankrupt millions of families and entire countries, we need an altogether different approach that cost-effectively addresses the underlying factors that create disease... without expensive and toxic prescription drugs that merely mask symptoms. This new approach is called functional medicine. In fact, it's actually not entirely new... it's how medicine was practiced 4000 years ago. What's new is that I have brought advanced lab testing and a keen systems-biology approach to medicine – which is short for looking at the body as a system of interconnected organs that need to play in perfect sync to function optimally. That's what coined the term "Functional Medicine" because ultimately, it's about restoring proper function to all the body's systems. A good analogy is your car: For your car to get optimal mileage, you need to maintain it consistently: Change the motor oil, change spark plugs, keep it shined to prevent rusting, and take it to the body shop when the "Check Engine" light is on, fill it up with the appropriate fuel. That's exactly how to approach your body with functional medicine... it's not about what to do when your body is broken, it's about maintaining proper health in the first place, and preventing the body from breaking down.

Helping Women Live a Life Of Joy & Ease
I completed my training in 2004 during a ten-month teacher-training program at The Columbia Yoga Center. I am a registered yoga teacher through the Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level (RYT ® 200). I teach Hatha yoga which is the yoga of physical postures and breathing techniques. My classes are inspiring and work toward emphasizing correct alignment and form. I blend my knowledge of Chinese medicine and acupuncture into my yoga classes masterfully weaving in ancient healing philosophies with the art and science of yoga. My training with teachers from the Iyengar and Anusara traditions creates a balance of heart-centered expressions and anatomical precision. I have studied with Bob Glicksien (founder of The Columbia Yoga Center), Joseph Roberson, Kathy Donnell (Director of The Columbia Yoga Center), Judith Lasater, Barbara Allen, and my current teacher Eric Reid. My dedication to my students is a joyful time exploring the body and creating awareness through the postures of Yoga.
