AYCMARC for busy and nocturnal people.
We are open when everyone else is closed
Hi my name is Mark Miller, CEO and lead therapist At Your Convenience Mental Health and Relationship Counseling of Denver (AYCMARC). I designed AYCMARC is for busy and nocturnal people. We are open when everyone else is closed. AT AYCMARC we believe that Your day off is your day off and should be used for fun, Not Therapy! At AYCMARC you can receive quality mental health counseling, addiction counseling, career counseling, and relationship counseling and/or mental health assessment, career assessment, and psycho-neurological assessment at your convenience. At AYCMARC we know that life happens when most mental health, addiction, career, relationship counseling, and assessment practices are.open. We Also understand you cannot leave early without risking your job. Until now your only option was to race to the counseling center after work so you are not over 15 minutes late and turned away because of your tardiness, but are still expected to pay for the session. The last choice is not receiving the help you or family needs. This may be fine for some people, but what if you court ordered? What if you cannot handle or cope with your issues without professional help. At AYCMARC we believe that you should not have to suffer because of inconvenient mental health, addiction, assessment, career, and relationship counseling practice hours. AYCMARC recognizes that you are busy after work taking the kids here or there, trying to get supper ready and other chores. At AYCMARC we know how hard it is for you to squeeze counseling in the mist of all this. This is one of the reasons why we are open late; for the busy person and family who wants to heal or strive for wellness. AYCMARC also realizes that some people work late at night, your nights are days and days are nights. Research on sleep is clear there needs to be consistency with a sleep schedule. Inconstancy of sleep hour can cause insomnia. It is no wonder why you have sleeping problems because most mental health, addiction, and relationship counseling practices are making you get up in the middle of your night on your day off.

Attract Unexpected Abundance into Your Life
Tapping, which is also known as EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques, is an extremely powerful mind-body technique that can help you rewire your energy system, reprogram your subconscious beliefs, clear your resistances to achieving your goals, and remove your old programming that is keeping you stuck. The benefits of Tapping include: reducing your stress, worries, procrastination, cravings, unhappiness, insecurities/self-doubt, unwanted feelings, and other self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviors. By identifying and removing your emotional blocks and disempowering beliefs in both your conscious mind and your subconscious mind you are able to change your inner reality which can then change your outer reality.

Specializing in queer identity and consensual nonmonogamy
When we understand ourselves and our desires, we access our power. I help you learn what you want, and clear the obstacles out of your way. When the unconscious dictates our thoughts and behaviors, we are adrift in its hidden urges, fears, and conditioning. Getting to know ourselves brings these mysterious workings into the light, so that we can choose what we do with them. If you're feeling lost at sea, I can help you find your boat and compass. Once you're back at the helm, riding out the waves can be exhilarating! Gender and Sexual Expansion I know that in navigating the world as a queer person, it can be challenging to find the right fit in a therapist. Whether you identify as non-binary, trans, genderfluid or anywhere on the spectrum of non-heteronormativity, it's critical to talk with someone who gets it. When it's time to further explore a facet of your identity, sexuality or relationship, you can feel safe expressing yourself with me as you are without your therapist assigning your struggles to your lifestyle or identity. I counsel sex workers, individuals in polyamorous or other consensual non-monogamous relationships, and participants in kink or BDSM lifestyles. When you walk into my office, you can rest assured that you will be met with compassion and non-judgement.

Even in times like these, while anxiety is contagious, so is genuine connection and compassion. If you are struggling with stress, anxiety, PTSD, depression or spiritual growth--I would love the opportunity to talk to you about what a better tomorrow would look like. I use clinically-minded, cognitive behavioral tools to help implement positive change for deeper personal fulfillment, presence authenticity and joy by creating a therapeutic space that is non-judgmental, safe and adaptable to what you need. I use person-centered practices and can implement meditation, poetry, walking therapy and art therapy in session as well. I offer traditional talk and tele-therapy with practices based in: CBT, ACT, person-centered and mindfulness. I use research-based methods to provide treatment based in effectively proven methods. I use positive psychology throughout session and am happy to refer you to resources that help outside of session, whether that's a book, meditation, yoga, etc. Creating a compassionate, safe and non-judgmental space for personal growth and fulfillment is of utmost importance in my practice. I sometimes incorporate meditation, art therapy and mindfulness techniques in session (if you feel these techniques would be a good fit for you) to address anxiety, trauma and difficulties coping with major life transitions.

Counseling for All
It can be challenging to address our mental health, especially when society, our families, and our culture tell us it's taboo. I specialize in working with adults and teens in the Denver area from various cultures, backgrounds, sexualities, and gender identities who experience stress, trauma, and life adjustments. I work with individuals who are challenged with anxiety, relationship concerns, and substance use, and those in need of school and career counseling. I also work with individuals who struggle with women's issues including postpartum anxiety and depression, and infertility. I find that a combination of narrative therapeutic techniques and cognitive behavioral therapy provides individuals with the self-esteem, confidence, and ownership to approach life's challenges.

Empower Yourself. Free Your Spirit.
Seeking counseling can be a difficult first step. It can be difficult for us to acknowledge our pain, and often we feel guilty about it. Feelings are not good or bad, they just are—the consequences of those feelings are what we can influence. Counseling is important because it can provide a safe place to speak the truth about what we are going through. Our truth is powerful and can be a motivator for making changes to how we feel and what we do. Counseling can help us identify our values, goals, and beliefs and to harness them to help us heal. Only you know what hurts, what brings you joy, and what changes you want to make. I can collaborate with you as you connect with your truth. I believe that knowing our truth liberates and empowers us. Change is a journey and it is often hard to make alone. I would be honored to accompany you for this part of your journey. I work with clients who are struggling with substance abuse, addiction, anxiety, depression, and anger. I also work with clients who have criminal charges and criminal convictions, usually related to drugs or alcohol. I have special training in working with clients who have diverse cultural, spiritual, race, class, gender, and sexual identities.
