Increase energy+circulation, reduce stress+accelerate health
Lymph detox preventive lifestyle anti-aging optimal vitality
WHO can benefit? -Anyone who wants a healthier immune system, has excess weight, recovering from surgery, injury or cancer, unsightly scars, adhesion restrictions, digestion issues, IBS, constipation, PMS, sinusitis, headaches, allergies, asthma, fibromyalgia, EBV, detoxing heavy metals, swelling in ankles or fingers, sluggish energy, trouble sleeping, fatigue, brain-fog, depression, +other imbalances. WHAT is Melting Touch Method©? -I combine 6 effective techniques from 27 years of teaching & private practice into a comprehensive approach that treats the FLUID BODY. (1). Lymphatic Drainage massage increases the fluid being filtered by the body's (400-600) lymph nodes, which accelerates waste elimination, increases immune response, and returns the PLASMA of your "internal shower" back into the blood stream. (2). Myo-fascial Release is a gentle, slow realignment of connective tissue that is pain-free resistive pressure and has long term results. (3). Cranial-Sacral accesses the rhythm of cerebral spinal fluid through very light, subtle touch and resets the central nervous system (great for PTSD, after surgery, illness, crisis). (4). Internal Organ Release detoxifies the colon, liver, gall bladder, spleen, lungs, heart, etc through rhythmic pulsing, encouraging & stabilizing their functions. (5). Scar Tissue Softening is a progressive program of cross fiber techniques that can be used immediately after surgery - AND - effectively smooths old scars & disfigurements from injuries, by loosening invisible restrictions in the fascia, thus creating more flexibility. (6). Subtle Energy & Psycho-Emotional Balancing helps adjust the invisible electro-magnetic body, the endocrine/neural-plexus centers (Chakras) and integrates BodyMindSpirit, using breath, sound, intention & awareness. HOW will I feel? -Your will receive a FULL BODYMINDSPIRIT detoxification effect: deep relaxation ("The Rapture" Theta-state), profound sleep, more resiliency, easier breathing, loss of water weight, and great bowel movements. IF YOU ARE VERY TOXIC? it can stir up a healing-crisis with minimal to dramatically increased waste elimination ie: more pooping, peeing, sweating, foul breath, mucus in throat, sweating & skin outbreaks. This will last 24-48 hours, after which you will feel incredibly clean, clear, lighter, more flowing, generally peaceful & able to handle your daily functions.

A Custom Massage For Your Specific Needs
The word, integrated, refers to two different aspects of my views on the subject of massage. • We view the human body as an integrated system and not as separate parts. To best understand the needs of our clients, we design a session that takes into account all aspects of the individual that we are working with. This includes not only the underlying muscular tissue but also the spiritual and emotional state of being as well. This general concept is where the ever-popular phrase “mind-body-spirit” comes from. In life, it is helpful to notice ways in which all things are interconnected. • An “Integrated Massage Therapist” uses a blend of many techniques to create a truly unique healing art form. Call now to book your massage appointment at our beautiful office that serves the cities of Waialua and Haleiwa. If you are staying on the North Shore of Hawaii, we can serve all of your massage therapy needs. After coming for just one visit, you will feel as if you spent hours at a day spa. More and more people are starting to discover the benefits of therapeutic massage. Not only does it make you feel good, but it can also reduce many common ailments such as stress, muscle tightness, aches and pains - massage can even ease anxiety and depression. Massage has been found to decrease the occurrence of injury because it improves joint range-of-motion, circulation, and flexibility. This helps optimize the athletic performance of sports enthusiasts and the physical endurance needed in an active lifestyle.

Therapeutic Bodywork in a context of Traditional ThaiMassage
Thai Massage soothes the body, quiets the mind.
As a graduate of the Swedish Institute I have developed strong skills in both Western and Eastern styles of massage. My training has given me a solid knowledge base in the biosciences, and an emphasis on integration of these components into practical applications. The study of anatomy, physiology and pathology has provided me with the foundation needed to develop confident therapeutic skills. Before my decision to specialize in Thai Massage, I studied and practiced Swedish massage and have integrated advanced Western modalities such as medical massage, sports massage, myofascial techniques and trigger point therapy. Five-Element Shiatsu provides an Eastern perspective which emphasizes the flow of Qi, or energy, through the body. Eastern and Western modalities are incorporated into my work. Clinical strategies, assessment and ethics are also a part of my professional development. My initial goal upon beginning a career in massage therapy was to practice medical massage. In the last semester at Swedish Institute, we were asked to choose electives. During the first five weeks of the semester I studied Thai Massage. I will always remember exactly how my partner was stretching me when I decided that this modality is superior to all those that I had previously been exposed to. That same day I began to make plans to study in Thailand. If you are a fellow massage therapist who has an interest in Thai Massage, feel free to enquire in an email message about working together to extend this wonderful tradition. I periodically get requests for couples massage and would like to increase my options for practitioners to work with.

Experience Okazaki Style Restorative Massage Therapy
By a Senior Advanced Instructor W/ 44 Years of Experience!
OUR APPROACH Our main focus is medical massage. We have worked successfully with clients ranging in age from 4 to 90 years old who have come to us with a wide variety of problems including migraine headaches, sciatica, general back and neck pain, fibromyalgia, carpel tunnel syndrome / tendonitis, etc. We are experienced in pre & post natal massage and long-term therapy for the elderly. We are results oriented and will not take you as a client unless we feel we can help you. Quite simply, the overwhelming majority of our clients have soft tissue based problems; an area in which Western medicine falls short. A large number of our clients with whom we have had success have been in pain for substantial lengths of time (up to 19 years) and many have exhausted all Western medicine options before coming to us. We are a drugless therapy; an alternative to pharmaceutically based healthcare. We are an on-going therapy program. Our therapy program is a 5 faceted approach, custom tailored for each client. It is, essentially, an Asian / energy based approach assembled by us and reflecting our (combined) over 78 years of experience. The program / approach consists of the following components: 1. Acupuncture / acupressure – This is mainly used for pain relief and to combat inflammation. 2. Seifhukujitsu / Okazaki style, traditional Japanese deep-tissue massage / tui na – This encompasses a wide range and large number of specific deep tissue loosening / relaxing techniques primarily based upon acupuncture theory. 3. Stretching / alignment techniques – Once the tissue is sufficiently relaxed, these techniques allow the body to naturally align itself. 4. Specific exercises for specific problems – The client is taught a progression of specific, mainly stretching, exercises that target his or her specific problems. These exercises come primarily from Chinese martial arts, chi gung, and yoga. 5. Lifestyle assessment and modification – This is an in-depth, on-going assessment to identify the client’s real (not merely symptomatic) problem; as well as an on-going educational process to inform and educate the client about good habits that can be developed and bad habits that can be eliminated. Most people come to us initially with a medical problem; after their problem is “solved” or becomes manageable, most of our client’s continue to come on a “maintenance” schedule. They have learned to appreciate the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine: the answer is to come so you don’t hurt, instead of only coming when you do hurt. Prevention is the best medicine. Issan Thai Massage - We Aim to Heal
What’s a Thai Yoga Massage? Thai massage is believed to have been developed by Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha, physician to Buddha, more than 2,500 years ago in India. It made its way to Thailand, where the Ayurvedic techniques and principles gradually became influenced by traditional Chinese medicine. For centuries, Thai Yoga massage was performed by monks as one component of Thai medicine. What does Thai Yoga massage feel like? Thai massage is more energizing and rigorous than more classic forms of massage. Thai massage is also called Thai Yoga massage, because the therapist uses his or her hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches. Many people say Thai massage is like doing yoga without any work. Muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure are also used during treatment. People describe Thai Yoga massage as both relaxing and energizing. What should I expect during my visit? Thai Yoga massage is usually done on a padded mat on the floor. No oil is applied, so you are fully dressed. You are usually asked to bring or wear comfortable clothing to the massage. A typical Thai Yoga massage is 60 minutes to two hours long. What conditions is Thai Yoga massage used for? Many people find that Thai Yoga massage has the following benefits: •relaxes •reduces stress •improves circulation •increases energy •increases flexibility •improves range of motion •centers the mind and body Precautions - Thai Yoga massage is not recommended for certain people: •infectious skin disease, rash, or open wounds •immediately after surgery •immediately after chemotherapy or radiation, unless recommended by your doctor •prone to blood clots. There is a risk of blood clots being dislodged. If you have heart disease, check with your doctor before having a massage •pregnant women should check with their doctor first if they are considering getting a Thai Yoga massage. A Thai Yoga massage in pregnant women should only be done by therapists who are certified in pregnancy massages. •massage should not be done directly over bruises, inflamed skin, unhealed wounds, tumors, abdominal hernia, or areas of recent fractures. Additional tips •Don’t eat a heavy meal before the massage and if it's your first time at the clinic or spa, arrive on time! •Be sure that your Thai Yoga massage therapist has your complete health history, because people with certain conditions should not have Thai massage. •If you feel discomfort at any time, let your Thai Yoga massage therapist know.
