Free from Pains, Discomforts, Diseases
We are specialized in atopic skin (Eczema), fungus toenails, and all kinds of pains, discomforts and diseases. Eczema is due to the heat produced in the body. This heat consumes moisture and body fluids causing itchness. The heat is produced by the specific body organ, which every case is different by each person. As soon as this heat is removed, there is no more itchness. We have treated most eczema cases within one month, more than 90% using acupuncture and herb. A few cases took 2months. Fungus toenails, so called, is a serious disease. To me it is not fungus. If fungus, it must spread to another toenails, as we wear tight socks and shoes..However many people have only one fungus toenail, not spreading to another next one. This means this is liver problem originally. This progresses for a long time and results in fungus toenails. Some have one toenail, but some have more than 2 and the worst case is all 5 toenails. Besides every one has different colors, black, white and yellow. The shape also is different. This indicates the patient has good potentials such as diabetes, bell's palsy, high blood pressure or even stroke. We recommend you have to treat this immediately. Please don't wait. The above serious symptoms would not wait for you. We are able to release pains immediately, such as neck and shouder pains. As soon as we tap needles, many feel the pain disappear. This happens more than 50%. Some take until needles are pulled. However if this symtom is directly related with heart, it may take a longer period. Why don't you call now and make an appointment? You are going to be free from any pains, discomforts and diseases. In addition, we use Korean 4 needle techn

Acupuncture and Qigong Therapy
Chinese medicine treats the root cause. In Chinese medicine, the root cause is always an “energy diagnosis,” which tells us about the state of your energy in the body. Acupuncture is an art we commonly use in the clinic to treat a wide variety of conditions and health challenges. We even use acupuncture for “tune ups” or seasonal wellness visits, for people who enjoy acupuncture as a way of staying balanced, focused and healthy. We may use acupuncture to treat a common cold, injuries, or to support a cancer patient in their care. We may use acupuncture in the care of women’s health, men’s health, children’s medicine and fertility. Acupuncture is not only an ancient art, but rapidly becoming a modern science and integrated into western medical care for it’s very strongly positive effects, and “side effect free. Basically, it involves insertion of very tiny (very fine) needles into the skin along acupuncture points, to affect the flow of energy (qi) in the body. Qi flows along channels in the body to organs and cells in the body, nourishing and promoting blood flow along the way, by Chinese Medicine theory. When qi is abundant and flows freely, the body can have good health. Hence, abundant qi and circulation in the body is one of the main goals of treatment with Chinese medicine. It also feels nice. Peaceful, relaxing and calming to the body, mind and spirit… it is just good for your health. Clinical science and medicine is showing many ways that acupuncture is of benefit to your health. It is side effect free, reasonable to afford, and has the gift of addressing the root cause and not just treating symptoms. Herbal Medicines in Chinese medicine, herbal medicine is complex –and requires a skilled practitioner to diagnose and prescribe appropriate herbal combinations. Chinese medicine formulas balance herbs together to support each other and give optimal effect based upon energy diagnosis. As part of care, for those whom it is appropriate, herbal formulas may be recommended as part of your care. Medical Qigong — Also known as Qigong Therapy, or “External Qi Healing,” or “Energy Healing,” is an art that is perhaps the most ancient of all of the Chinese medicine healing arts. Qigong healing as a therapy is a peaceful art of healing with energy that is done in various ways, according to patient needs, in the clinic. It involves the practiioner helping the patient to remove energy blockages and restore balance and flow through peaceful healing mind/body techniques, some of which are ancient arts, as well as teaching meditations, mind/body methods and movement, visualization and sensing techniques so that the patient can work with their own energy to improve their health. It is peaceful, but also empowering. Anyone can learn qi healing techniques to improve their health. For many, it is a wonderful part of everyday life.

Ancient Wisdom for Today's Wellness
Lauren Fortuna is a New York State Licensed Acupuncturist. She had the pleasure of studying Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at the Swedish Institute School of Acupuncture, and graduated with a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture. At the Swedish Institute, Lauren had the opportunity to study both Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as Classical Acupuncture, which allows her to offer a variety of treatment options. Lauren has successfully treated a diverse clientele across a wide range of health issues. Patients have sought treatment for issues such as pain management (including back, neck and shoulder pain), women’s wellness, allergy relief, digestive complaints, as well as for stress management. One thing to keep in mind is that every patient that seeks treatment with Lauren is treated as an individual. Lauren does not merely look at your symptoms, nor does she treat people with similar issues the same. Your unique health patterns are looked at and evaluated thoroughly, and then a specific treatment plan is tailored to suit your specific needs. Women’s wellness is a personal as well as professional commitment for Lauren. Lauren decided to study acupuncture after a family member had great success being treated for Endometriosis with acupuncture. This peaked her interest, and so Lauren began to explore the world of Chinese Medicine. A large focus of her practice is Infertility. Lauren has had great success in helping couples conceive, weather on their own or in conjunction with their IVF treatments. In addition to acupuncture, Lauren utilizes a holistic approach of methods that incorporate moxibustion, auricular therapy, cupping, tui na (Chinese Meridian Massage), gua sha and aromatherapy into her sessions.

The goal of my practice is to bring more health, wholeness, comfort, and joy into the lives of those it touches. It is also a clearinghouse of health related information and a support to those in need of change. My personal mission is to heal, support, and co-create health, playfulness, and cooperation in individuals, our community, and the world. My personal philosophy of medicine is that everyone is a mysterious and wonderful being. As such, discovering the basis of a person’s condition and their personal path to wellness requires a thorough and careful evaluation. While some ailments may be common, the actual cause of the condition, and the path to healing may be different for every individual. That is why one of my goals has been to develop an understanding of and experience with many approaches to health, illness, and treatment, and to know how and when each approach will be most successful. For many, the cause of disease is a disconnection from their potential. In order to heal, people often need to find connection with life, find meaning, and realize that they can make a difference. These people must undergo a process of self-discovery. Learning what foods or activities their body likes, what their personal goals and preferences are, what brings meaning to their lives, and how their relationship to the people and places in their environment effects them are all important aspects of that process.
